Our Teachers
Kimberly Cox-Kullberg, Guitarist and Vocalist
A classically trained guitarist and coloratura Soprano, Kimberly has been teaching with Washington Academy of Music for 10 years. Kimberly has years of experience building strong performers as the director of both of WAM’s stellar performing ensembles, the invitation only WAM Guitar Ensemble and the Treble Choir. She has also been awarded the “Best Teacher in Central Kitsap” honor for three consecutive
years (‘08,’09,’10) and received the Kitsap Business Journal’s “40 under 40” award in 2008.
Kimberly has performed in numerous operas, including Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”, Bizet’s “Carmen”, Strauss’ “Die Fledermaus”, and Gilbert & Sullivan’s “The Mikado”.

Mary Kate Connors Zachary, Pianist
Mary Kate has played piano professionally for ten years with performance experience in solo recitals and as an accompanist for choirs, mixed ensembles and instrumentalists. She has over 7 years experience teaching private piano and has been teaching at Washington Academy of Music for the last 3 years.
Mary Kate holds a B.A. in Music Education from Golden State Baptist College in CA.

Kaylee Richmond, Guitarist
Kaylee is a long-time WAM student and one of a very few, select students to qualify for our intern teacher program. She has passed four levels of The Royal Conservatory of Music Exams in guitar and completed the requirements of our Intern Teacher Program.
She has studied classical guitar extensively with Kimberly Kullberg and Rick Cox and is a member of Washington Academy of Music's invitation only "WAM Guitar Ensemble."

Bradley Tatum, Guitarist
Bradd is a superb guitarist who is versatile in the rock, jazz and pop genre. Experienced and dedicated, he has a proven record of success teaching private and group guitar to students of all ages.
In his twenty years of professional work Bradd has produced and played on five studio albums, performed throughout Washington State, co-founded a record label that released fifteen albums featuring bands from Europe and the United States and has taught over two hundred students from Bainbridge Island and the surrounding Kitsap area.
Bradd is a superb guitarist who is versatile in the rock, jazz and pop genre. Experienced and dedicated, he has a proven record of success teaching private and group guitar to students of all ages.

Megan Leibold, Pianist and Vocalist (Soprano)
Megan is currently a student in her final semester at Pacific Lutheran University where she is majoring in Vocal Performance. She has a wealth of performance experience in opera roles, as a soloist in concert and recitals, a pianist in Seattle's "10 Grands," and as a piano accompanist supporting choirs, soloists, musical revues and ensembles.
Her vocal and piano instructors are from a Who's Who list of renown and respected professionals, including:
Janeanne Houston, Nancy Zylstra and Sandra Knapp at Pacific Lutheran University
Jay Rozendaal and Amber Bone at Western Washington University

Scott Langdon, Percussionist
Scott has worked in many types of groups and musical genre. He is a highly versatile percussionist equally at home on drum set, mallets or the other myriad of percussion instruments.
