We offer a variety of lesson plans and programs designed to meet students' needs and learning styles.
Suzuki Music Education Program – This method consists of one 30 minute lesson each week and a group lesson/ensemble. It is based on the philosophy of talent education developed by Shinichi Suzuki. Parental participation in the weekly lessons and daily at-home practice sessions is an integral part of the Suzuki philosophy.
Kindermusik Programs - Kindermusik is the community of families and teachers passionately committed to bringing music to children's lives through developmentally appropriate curricula, CDs, books, instruments, and activities for our classes and for family time at home. WAM is very proud to be associated with this excellent program. Group Lessons - Group lessons are available for beginning students on selected instruments. Classes are typically 8 weeks in length and are designed to prepare students for private lessons and entry into an ensemble.
Private Lessons – Private lessons are 30 or 60 minutes once or twice each week. Your instructor will provide a recommendation as to time and frequency based on the needs of the student.
Ensemble Program – There are a variety of ensembles designed to give the student the opportunity to play with and for other musicians in a friendly, non-competitive and low-pressure environment.
Master Level Program – These private lessons are 60 minutes once each week. Pricing includes participation in an advanced ensemble. The Master Level Program is reserved for highly advanced students and is open by audition only.
Special Needs Program – We are very proud to offer this specially designed program geared specifically towards children with autism. This program was developed so these special children feel comfortable during their 30 minute highly structured weekly lesson. A DVD is available to help familarize the child with the studio and set expectations for their first meeting with their instructor.
